Naked baby!!

Naked baby pictures galore! Yesterday, I decided that Amelia should have a little photo shoot. Joe and I had been cleaning the garage, and found a box full of baby pictures that showed a few naked baby pictures of Joe on a black fur rug. So, I reenacted the scene and I have to agree that Amelia was much more photogenic than daddy! She also rolled over from belly to back for the first time, which was super exciting! I put her back on her belly to see if she would do it again and she did! We had an appointment yesterday as well and they did a development test; she is also reaching all of the benchmarks she should be at this point, plus more! I have to agree that she is such a wonderful, talented girl! But, what mom doesn't think that?!

Updates!

Sorry that I haven't updated recently, we've been so busy! Amelia is continuing to be a pretty good sleeper. Sleeping for longer periods of time, somtimes up to 7 or 8 hours. It's still not super consistant, but I definitely enjoying getting a more solid night's sleep. During the day she is much more active and has been working on rolling over. Right now, she can roll onto her side and it's just a matter of time until she rolls all the way over. She is using her hands much more, reaching for objects, and holding onto them too. She's also putting her hands in her month alot and drooling so much! I think she's going to cut teeth soon or something! Amelia is much more content throughout the day too, and when Daddy comes home too. She used to be very fussy in the evenings, but it's not as bad any more. Which is good, because I always felt bad for Joe that she was so fussy when he got home. Overall, she is growing well, and everyone tells me that she is such a happy baby with lots of smiles. I'm excited for her 4 month check up to see how she's grown, but not excited for her 4 month vaccinations.

BEST night sleep!

To my surprise, Amelia slept from 10:30 pm until 6:30 am last night! I think that certainly counts as a full nights sleep. But now, even though it's still early according to Mommy's standards, she's wide awake and not ready to go back to sleep. Oh well, that just means that we'll get more stuff done today and she'll probably take a good nap later. Joe and I are cleaning out the garage "clean sweep" style, as in we're taking EVERYTHING out, and sorting it into garbage, keep, and donate/garage sale piles. Well, maybe Amelia won't last too much longer, even as I type this she's yawned several times. It's chilly today, but still a sunshiny day. We're hoping to get lots done with a good little girl who sits and watches or sleeps!

Good night sleep!

After a very busy day outside talking walks and visiting different places, Amelia had a great night sleep, which meant that Mommy also got a great night sleep. Mia slept from 10:00 pm until 5:00 am, and then from 5:25 am (after eating) until 8:45 am! WOW! What was even better about that was that she spent that time sleeping in her own bed and not with Mom. I'm hoping this is a step toward sleeping through the whole night, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much!

Easter

Out of order, but nevertheless, we had a fantastic Easter. The first picture is of our family at church after the service. Doesn't Amelia look pretty in her Easter dress! After our service, we celebrated the day with Joe's family by hosting Easter dinner at our house. Joe's grandparents got to meet Amelia for the first time, since they left for Flordia before she was born and didn't get back until just a few days before Easter. They were amazed by her as we all are, and we were so happy they could finally meet her and see our home!

Driving to Michigan

Here are a few shots from our drive to Michigan. Surprisingly, Amelia did a fantastic job on the drive up and down, and we only had to stop twice each time. She kept herself entertained by sleeping, listening to mommy read stories, shaking her rattle, sucking her pacifier, and smiling at mommy. Mac got to ride shot gun most of the time while I sat in back with Mia.
