I can suck my thumb!

Look at me, I'm 3 months old!!
Amelia is 3 months old!! I can't believe it's been 3 months since she was born, and I am so happy that after her first month at St. Francis there have been absolutely no problems with her health. She is growing and changing, and is a fabulous baby to spend my days with. At 3 months, Amelia can...smile, coo and talk, suck her thumb, kick and squirm, grab mommy's hair and other objects, respond to mommy & daddy by smiling or talking, and so much more!

Fun in Quincy
Last night, Joe, Amelia and I spent the evening with friends in Quincy. It was fun to see Jordan and Shannon, and we were very excited to pick up our new computer! Now we can even use Skype to keep in touch with our grandmas, grandpas, aunts, and uncles who are far away in other states. I've decided that after our trip, Amelia is a home body. She'll go other places to visit, but she likes to be at home the most. She was super fussy last night and exercised her lungs a lot. Luckily she slept well and had a good nap on the way home.

Bunny Pictures
Pictures with live bunnies turned out so cute! The bunny is climbing Amelia and that made her very happy. She's got a cute little double chin and big ol' smile! Pretty good for a two and a half month old baby girl!

Mia is GROWING!
Amelia is growing like a bean! As of Friday, she is 12 pounds and about 24 inches long. She had her last visit with the home health nurse, and they discharged her. Seems like so long ago that we were at OSF and we are so thankful that everything has gone smoothly since our release. I am excited to go pick up our pictures from Mother Goosebumps tomorrow and to see how her Easter pictures with LIVE bunnies turned out. I even put one in her lap, despite the photographer thinking she wouldn't like it. Of course she used to crazy animals because Mac loves to lick her as much as he can.
Amelia's growth made me start cleaning out her closet and drawers. She's in to 3 months size now, and beginning to get ready for 3/6 month size. We got to put away all of our 0-3 month size clothing...It's amazing how fast she's growing and it almost makes me sad that she's not going to be so small anymore. But I know she'll be doing tons of cool stuff soon and I can't wait to watch her develop.

Beautiful Day
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...so beautiful that we got to go for walks both last night and today! Amelia likes being pushed in the stroller and usually falls asleep from all the bumpy sidewalks and roads. We're hoping that the sunny weather stays, but I'm afraid the weekend won't be as nice.
Grandpa and Daddy are almost finished with Mommy's kitchen!! HOORAY for mommy! It's looking great and we're so excited to get it all done and settled. The room looks much brighter and bigger with yellow painted walls, and new trim and wood work looks great too. Finally our house will be to a point that we're satisfied...at least for a little while.
On Saturday, Amelia and I are going to get her pictures taken at Mother Goosebumps in Galesburg. They are doing Easter pictures with LIVE bunnies...yes, LIVE! Such a cute idea, and we're hoping that Mia is in a good mood and we can get her to smile.

Shots
.jpg)
Yesterday was NOT a fun day for Miss Amelia. We had her 2 month check up and she also had to get 3 shots and one oral vaccine. She was as happy as could be laying there looking up at Mommy and then in an instant everything changed and she was screaming bloody murder. It was enough to make me cry too! On a good note, she did weigh a whopping 11 pounds, and was 23.5 inches long. She's gaining well, so we no longer have to add formula to my breast milk and bottle feed. Everything else is going well too and she's developing right where she should be. Her shots did have one good affect on her though...sleep! Last night she slept from 10:30 pm to 1 am, and then from the end of her 1 am feeding until 8 am! Good news for a tired Mommy, that's for sure!
